The last few weeks (months and years, even)… the protests, the hateful comments, the hate in general, etc. have really weighed heavy on my heart. Where is the love? We have to be willing to accept each other, to come together and face our differences in belief and perspective, if we want to thrive. As a community, as a nation, and as a world. As cliche as it sounds, I envision a world where everybody can work together in joy and harmony.
“We love because He first loved us. Whoever clams to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.” – 1 John 4:19-20
My sweet sister posted the following words on Facebook:
“Jesus never told us following His word would be easy. He knew this world, this country, OUR country, would test our faith. If you follow Christ, if you KNOW our Heavenly Father, don’t lose sight, don’t lost heart, over why we are here. Be a heart for the downtrodden. Be a face for the hidden. Be a voice for the voiceless. Be a warrior for love.”
She is so wise and I’m forever thankful to have someone like her in my life.
I hope y’all have a great Wednesday!
